Plaid Bank Verification

If you're working on your processing application for your business, you can now verify your bank account instantly using free validation provided by Plaid. This service simplifies the process of adding payout details during onboarding or updating your bank account. Instead of uploading documents or entering routing details manually, Plaid connects directly to your bank and verifies your account securely in seconds.

💡Note: Plaid is only available in the United States at this time.

 

Process

When you're going through the online processing application process and you're ready to add or update your bank account for payouts, you'll see two options:

Instant Verification

After you click on the Plaid option for bank account verification, you'll be guided through the following steps:

  • Search for your bank from the list provided.
  • Log in using your bank credentials in a secure window.
  • If prompted, enter your Multi Factor Authentication code or PIN.
  • Select the account you want to use for payouts.
  • Agree to share your data and accept the terms and conditions.
  • Your bank account will be verified instantly.

💡Note: Your login is encrypted and handled using PCI Level 1 standards. This information is used only to verify your account and is not stored or used for any other purpose.

 

Manual Entry

You can choose to enter your Account and Routing numbers manually. However, this method takes longer and requires an extra step:

  • Enter your bank details manually.
  • Upload a document such as a bank statement, voided check, or screenshot of your online bank portal.
    • The uploaded document needs to have the full Routing Number and Account Number on it, the name that is on the account that matches either the legal name or the DBA of the business, and the bank name and logo (Voided check works best for these requirements).

💡Note: Manual verification can take up to 24 business hours for the account to be validated.
