Areas

If you work in multiple geographical regions, you can organize your stores by areas in this part of the system. This article will show you how to set up any Areas you might need. Take a look at how it's done!

 

Creating Your Areas

You can get to this part of the system by logging into the Back End and opening the Administration menu. Click on Areas to get started.

You will need to create at least one Area in the system for your Stores. An example of this might be that you do business in Chester County and you have three stores in different towns in that area. You would use the steps below to create that Area. Then as you create your stores, you can assign them to that Area, and that organization will be used in your sales reporting.

  1. On the Areas page you are able to Search for the one you want in the middle area, if needed.
  2. You can click on an Area to view its details. The text in the example is the Description and areas are not assigned by default to Stores you create (you'll choose from a list of Areas you've saved).

To create a new Area, use the right side of the page and follow these simple steps:

  1. Enter the Name you want to use for your new Area.
  2. Enter a short Description of the new Area, if desired.
  3. Click the Save button in the upper right. A confirmation will pop up that the Area was saved and you'll see it highlighted in your list of Areas, as pictured here.
